Welcome to Ty Tal Holiday Cottage in North Wales

Ty Tal is a holiday cottage set in the heart of the village with all the local facilities within easy walking distance.

You can enjoy a long walk taking in the beautiful views of the welsh countryside or just a short walk along the river bank without using your car, and have a lovely traditional home cooked meal in one of the local pubs on your return.

This newly furbished holiday cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen with beautiful views overlooking the hillside. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small cloakroom and a comfortable lounge, and leading through to a double bedroom with en-suite facilities with french doors opening onto the garden.

Ty Tal Holiday Cottage is an ideal place for that relaxing break, set in a beautiful part of the north wales countryside.

Ty tal is a purpose made annex, which forms part of the owners main property, although it is completely self contained the owners are there on hand for any last minute requirements. The holiday cottage is steeped in history and is named after the founder of the village John Jones Talhaern, a famous Welsh poet. He lived in the property when it was a public house called the ‘Harp Inn’.

About The Region

Ty Tal Holiday Cottage is set in a beautiful part of the north wales countryside, which famous for its choirs, valleys and beautiful mountain ranges - it offers something for everyone. You could explore the beautiful coastline, sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, the historic Conwy castle, the Isle of Anglesey or the Victorian town of Llandudno on the north coast.. In Llandudno you can visit the original pier or lunch in one of the many bespoke tea shops, or shop in the new retail park – all this only 30 minutes away.

Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, and stunning clear lakes. Why not climb Snowdon, which at 1085m, is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway and visit the newly opened café, opened recently by First minister Rhodri Morgan.

Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat. In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.

Llanfair Talhaiarn Area

Situated in the heart of this idyllic village, Ty Tal Holiday Cottage was built in the early 17th Century. Llanfairtalhaiarn is the perfect location for short summer or winter breaks and longer family holidays. Llanfair T.H. has many events, the Local Sports Day in July, and the Annual Barn Dance in September being just two of them offering live bands and a full bar with catering.organised by the the Local Sports committee raising money for Local charities.

There are 2 pubs in the centre of the village, where you can get an excellent home cooked meal, and local ale and the small local shop and post office, which isn’t far from the river – (perfect for a picnic) along with a play area (enclosed) for children, and tennis courts, near by. The nearest train station is Abergele, 5 miles away, and a local bus service runs on a regular basis from the village to Abergele.
